The licensing conversation first. Free tools if the history is not ready yet.
The company
- We find out whether how your business works is worth licensing to AI companies, then we do the work to prepare and sell that deal. Free SOP and workflow tools help you get AI-data ready.
- Yes if you have years of real work sitting in tools - jobs, matters, nights, routes, estimates. Law firms, roofers, restaurants, cleaning companies, hospitality, a 70-person mortgage shop. Licensing is not guaranteed.
- No. Not a seat-tax LMS. Not a portal you rent. Not a marketplace selling customer lists. You keep ownership. We represent you.
- Not without authorization. You own it. Privacy and rights review happen first. Licensing is a defined license to an agreed package.

- Ordinary questions: tools, years operating, headcount, records, ownership. You get a plain-English read - strong, possible, or too early. If it looks strong, we run a deeper audit at no cost.
- Hard or licensed work. Hundreds or thousands of repetitions. Human decisions. Real software. Outcomes you can see. Rights you actually hold.

Licensing
- Only if it qualifies, you authorize it, and a buyer wants it. A recent license paid an owner $173,163 for how their company operates every day. That is proof we can run the process, not a quote for your business.
- You. The data owner. Jottings handles buyer meetings. Privacy, rights, and legal review happen before anything leaves the building.
- For qualified licensing engagements, nothing. We get paid when you do. If nothing sells, you owe nothing on that deal. Success fees typically land between 15% and 40%, agreed before work starts. The comparison is $0 vs a check, not the gross vs your net. SOP and readiness tools are free.
- Without Jottings, most companies don't have a buyer-ready AI dataset. We discover the opportunity, write missing docs, prepare the data, run diligence, find buyers, and close. The comparison is $0 vs a check, not the gross vs your net. The math is on the How we get paid page.
- Yes. If a company you introduce successfully licenses its data through Jottings, we pay you 10% of that sale. It comes from Jottings, not from their proceeds. Record the intro on the Refer page so we know to pay you.

- Looms, screen recordings, process walkthroughs, written instructions, existing docs, and other operational knowledge.
- Valuable AI data starts with understanding how real work gets done. Better documentation helps your business today and can raise your AI Data Readiness Score. You are not buying a pack.
- No. Files you own. Drop into Notion, Drive, or Confluence. No portals, SSO, or chatbot CMS.
- A 0–100 read of how close your company is to having operational history worth evaluating for licensing. It is readiness, not market value or buyer acceptance. A high score does not guarantee a license.
- Scribe needs a click-recorder while you work. We turn source material you already have into structured SOPs. Trainual is a monthly LMS. Docsie is a hosted portal. Jottings is free software that also tracks readiness.

Privacy & ownership
- You do. Underlying data stays yours. SOP ZIPs are yours. Any future licensing is opt-in, reviewed, and contractually bounded.
- No. Names, emails, phones, payment data, and identifying customer records are excluded or transformed. Buyers want how the work is done, not your client list.
- Common. Our lawyers can review your current terms and conditions and suggest language so you have a clean right - or tell you the gap before we go further.
