We get paid when you do

No successful license? No success fee. Same event. Same side of the table.

No successful license? No success fee.

Jottings invests the people, software, and expertise required to identify and prepare qualifying operational data. When we successfully license an asset, our fee comes from the transaction proceeds.

  • You don't need a data team.
  • You don't need to prepare the corpus yourself.
  • You don't need to know what AI buyers want.
Illustrative

What a $500,000 license looks like

Without Jottings, most companies don't have a buyer-ready AI dataset. We help discover the opportunity, create missing operational documentation, prepare and structure the underlying data, manage diligence, find buyers, and execute the transaction. That is why the fee exists.

Success fees typically land between 15% and 40%.

The statement uses 35% as a worked example. Exact fee is deal-specific and agreed in writing before any work starts. Not a quote.

How the money can arrive

Most deals

Standard payout

The buyer pays under the negotiated terms. After acceptance there is usually a net-payment period. You receive your proceeds when that payment settles.

Faster cash

Accelerated payout

Once the dataset is accepted and the receivable is set, a financing partner can advance most of your proceeds instead of waiting on the buyer's payment period. You take a smaller check now. The difference is the cost of getting paid sooner.

Recurring licenses

Some deals are not one check. If the business keeps producing the same kind of work, the license can keep producing: the historical corpus first, then incremental corpora, then refresh fees.

$173,163 for how the company operates every day.

Workflows, processes, the record of running the business. We packaged it, took out customer names and personal details, and licensed it. The owner kept the underlying records. Jottings ran the buyer process.
